What can I say about Nimbin......
It's like a cross between Glastonbury and Amsterdam, if you catch my drift!
Jimmy and Kelly drove me, Stewart and Beth there: we all checked into the Nimbin Rox YHA (except Beth) which was lovely, then had a wander around the town to get some supplies. Beth decided she wanted to go back to Byron to her lovely hostel there, but us four went back to ours and stayed sitting by the pool all afternoon playing scrabble and word games (girls v boys). It was a very chilled-out hostel and we had a really great time, just hanging out by the pool. Then while the boys snoozed Kelly and I went and sat in a hammock and read, while overlooking some gorgeous countryside (felt a bit like being in England/Wales to be honest!).
That evening we cooked up a feast of sausages and all had an early night after our relaxing day (I was sleeping in the hostel while the other three were in the van).
Now today I have to catch the bus back to Byron as the other three have decided to stay another night so they can take part in the hostel's 'community dinner' this evening. I have to go back though as I've booked into the Middle Reef Beachouse with Beth and we have a twin room (luxury!) as it's our last night together before she goes off surfing for a week (gonna meet back up in Sydney).
So back to Byron I go on the Happy Bus........
