UK Road Trip, Summer 2017
Started the day at Hertz to return the car. Always an ordeal. Then on to the walking tour which was late and abridged due to confusion. Visited some of the colleges (of which there are 31). Amazing to see the list of former students when they include names like JJ Thomson ( Marv's personal favorite), Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin.....
A stop at our local pub and time to get ready for tomorrow's train ride to London.
Went to dinner at a downtown pub and had our first bad pub experience. Had to cancel dinner and move on to Proper Hamburger. All good because we're on holiday!

Lois Goodstein When you’re having your next kick-around with your mates or shouting at the next Redskins match on the telly, you can thank Cambridge for establishing the rules of modern-day football. The first game of football was played in 1848 in Parker’s Piece, a grand public park in the centre of Cambridge. Go Skins!
