Well we've made it to Portsmouth and we're still in one piece and the bum isn't too sore at the moment. Although some days are much worse than others.
We have already learned a few important lessons.
1 Never believe a local when they say it's downhill to the next stop
2 Never believe a local when they say 'It's only 3 miles from here' always double it.
3 Be prepared don't expect cash machines to be supplying money and the local shop is bound to be quite a distance away.
4 Camp sites will always be at least 5 miles away when you're absolutely exhausted and all you want to do is get off the bike and sleep.
5 Any place with hill in the name is always a hill and any place that is called 'downs' is still up a hill.
But anyway we made it down to Portsmouth in 6 days of cycling the weather has been mostly wet. We've not been able to camp as much as we had wanted because of the lack of campsites along the route.
Message for Scott - you said dinosaurs were still alive in Cyprus well let me tell you the 'Megasorass' is definately alive in England too.
It was great to meet Bronwen in Emsworth on Friday - a complete shock and we both had to do a double take.
We've not had any punctures yet but there's plenty of time for those.
