Hi Jo and Stuart. Thank you for the diary and great photos of a part of the world I have never fancied visiting, until now! The glacier looks amazing. Some questions-1. have you seen much wildlife, apart from alligators? (and what is the name of the tree with the lilac coloured petals that cover the ground) and 2. How do you manage to be wearing something different in every photo? (Have you employed porters?) 3. Have you been disappointed by anywhere yet? With love from Anne and Malcolm.

Heh Whitneys! The photos are fantastic and definitely making me VERY jealous. Very impressed with your "tramping" efforts and the fact you got Stuart to camp Jo! The scenery looks stunning - some of it reminds me of tramping in the Southern Alps of NZ. That glacier sure is one big chunk of ice! Only two weeks till we are off to Russia for Christmas - so we go from cold London to friggin freezing Russia - crazy? Oh well it sure will be a different Christmas - and for you too I'm sure. Bye for now, Alli xxx (Steve says Gidday too)

Looks like the Whitneys are having a wild time - the photos are amazing, keep them coming. I can just imagine the tent-putting-up-palaver - can only imagine it was an extreme test of Jo's patience...
I am looking forward to another two weeks of christmas festivities, before I am out of here to hit the beach in Perth for christmas and new year. Can't say I'm too upset to leave the winter behind for a while, and seeing pictures of you guys on the beach is an inspiration.
Hope it all continues to go well, look forward to the next update!

Hi guys. Just thought I'd wish you early seasons greetings (alas I can't say it in native Bolivian to coincide with your xmas location, but it's the thought....). My year is over as of tomorrow (hooray) - but back in 3 weeks to reality and to start a new 2006 swimming campaign. Hope you're keeping to your spreadsheet schedule, and enjoy the remaining 6+ months! of your travels

Had a lovely time in Cyprus with Mum & Dad - & came back to a 4 degree frost! Enabled us to prune the vine though! Very busy enjoying the run-up to Christmas with lots of dinners to attend, though M. is supposed to be on a diet! Also helping out at Caring at Christmas in Bristol a charity for the homeless. One of the co-ordinators whom Hilary taught in primary school has just returned from travelling in South America, which she thought was absolutely wonderful! We're also enjoying the armchair travelogue you are supplying!

PS M. took the van into Bristol last night to help Simon collect some large flat packs from IKEA. Thank goodness Ed was there to help!
Mum & Dad In Cyprus
hope you are enjoying tierra Del Fuego. Obviously no internet cafe. We are still having super weather in Cyprus on the beach and still swimming the water is so warm.Only 2 more days to go and then back to very cold weather worse luck, still currently in the 20's here.Looking forward to reading some more of your very interesting journal. Love to you both.

Hey Guys!
I have finally managed to have a really good look on your site and now I wish I hadn't - it is making me so jealous. You look and sound like you are having the most amazing time out there - keep it up. It seems so wierd to see all these pictures of you on gorgeous beaches in summer clothes while we are freezing our butts off here in London. And to make matters even worse I find myself back at work again after 7 months unemployment, and boy it's tough. So make sure you make the most of it while you are out there - although it seems like I'm preaching to the converted from what I can see.
We all miss you both heaps so make sure you keep the updates coming.
LOL Katherine
Mum (Nz)
Just realised I cannot say Mum "Whitney" - that would be confusing!. Love looking at all your photos. I especially loved looking through your pics of BA, bought back memories, we so enjoyed our visit there. Hope your journeys continue to be fantastic as the photos show. We were sorry we did not have the time to visit the falls, they look absolutely amazing, we were told me may be sorry, but of course, we were anxious at the time to get to England.
Jane & Ray

8ace /Jo,
Glad to see your having fun guys, the photos sure look familiar!! Seems your following in our footsteps as I am sure I have met a few of those Aligators in the Pantanal....
Where are you heading next? We are currently in Mexico, we are gonna be here for another few weeks and then head down to Belize, Honduras, Costaa Rica and then head over to Cuba and Jamaica and then its time to go home...sob. We are however planning on travelling again for another six months in March so keep in touch and we may hook up with you somewhere on this marvellous planet. In the meantime, keep smiling!

Hey Jo & Stu,
Looks like a great website. Hope you are having fun and enjoying the weather. We just got back from a week in sun at Lanzacrote......pimped it in a hotel so ignored the English riff raff!! Had a magic time. Came back to a VERY COLD London...but Xmas lights are on so not so bad!
Will keep watching the web page to see all your adventures. Kirst is without email at the moment so will send updates from us both until she is no longer a kept lady!
