Was on the road again today...with a hangover;(( not good idea drinking before having to make a 9 1/2hr coach journey!! ah well s*** happens.
I am now in a place called Rainbow Beach, I'm here for about 5 days I think unless my plans happen to change:)) so easily done! whilst I'm here i'm going on a self guided jeep tour to Frasier Island with a group of 8 others. We'll be camping out, and driving around the Island visiting all the places that are of interest. When not at Frasier i'll be staying at the Dingo's Hostel.....some of the hostels here are great! Dingo's has a pool, laundry room, communal kitchen, lounge area, chill out area and a bar, oh and also internet access. Oh yeah and whats the price for this I hear you all cry......well let me tell you...a meer $18 a night which works out as roughly 8quid a night!! I don't reckon i'll ever go in a hotel again! Went the pub with some new 'friends", there was an Aussie amongst us....He was well trying to get money out of us...cheeky git. He kept asking us if we wanted to do little camping trips or paragliding! we all declined as we knew what he was upto. Gotta have your wits about ya wiv some of em!! xx

12/1/06 cont.....

Took ages to find the bloody coach stop, as got off 1 stop too late off the train! Bloody hell!! To top it all off on the train into the city I had some drunken woman come talking to me and insisting on telling me her life story! why me lord why me!! Anyway enough about her.....I met a lass from devon on the coach to Byron Bay. Turned out she was stopping in Byron as well. we chatted most of the journey up there in between trying to sleep and watching a crappy film! Once at Byron we hit the beach, to have a cool down in the sea as today it was well hot. The sea didn't really cool us down at all cos of the temp.........so there was only one thing left to do!! Go to a bar.....god this is such a hard life!!
Rest of day was spent going from bar to bar, with a short interval inbetween to go have a shower and a bite to eat. Was a good night, we had a cardboard cut out of David Boon (an Aussie cricketer) and were pissing people off asking them if they knew who he was;)) Aussies can be soooooooo stupid sometimes!!;))
David Boon story: He once flew from London to Sydney and drank 50 beers during the flight!.......God the man is a frickin legend!!
The night wasn't a late one don't think....can't really remember;)) Off on Travels again tomorrow. xx

AUSTRALIA VS CONGLETON.....
I'm not off on my travels tonight unlike Jo. I'm going to bed early as i have to get up at 5 am to go to work! I regret to inform you that i didn't spend the day at the Botanical gardens near circular quay in Sydney. I did however have a fantastic time sitting on bench 4 building profibus boards!It saddens me to say that i didn't Hop on the ferry to Manly. Instead, the most spectacular sight i saw today, was a child wearing a hoody giving me the finger on his BMX outside blockbuster video. A highlight i'm sure you'll agree. I'm not really loving it here in congleton. The town centre is only 5 minutes away on the number 36 bus, it isn't chilled out either. its bloody freezing - my nipples were like vicars coat hooks on the way home today! i haven't lost all sense of time and urgency, like my good friend Jo. I have however lost my will to live whilst contemplating dragging my sorry ass out of bed tomorrow morning. I hope this analysis of Australia and Congleton has been insightful and thought provoking. so for now i will leave with a final comment. What would you rather have? A koala bear cooking bangers on the barbie whilst driving your 'olds' ute, or raffs? I think we all know the answer . . .

I am off on my travels tonight!! Spent the day at the Botanical gardens near circular quay in Sydney (for those of you who don't know where that is, it's near the opera house!!). Then I decided to Hop on the ferry to Manly for a browse round and a stint on the beach;)) It's a hard life but someones gotta do it!! I'm really lovin it here in Manly, it's so chilled out and if you need the city life it's only half an hour away by ferry. However got a little bit too chilled out here, as had to rush back to the digs to pack my rucksack and make my way back into the city (sydney) to catch my coach for Byron Bay. I already seem to be losing all sense of time and urgency.........not a good thing when needing to catch trains and coaches. Laters xx

Have booked myself a trip today!! I'll be travelling up to Cairns but stopping off along the way. My first stop will probably be Byron Bay, but will decide that when I confirm my coach ticket in the next few days. The actual trip i've booked is for a 3 day 2 night self guided jeep tour of Frasier Island (there's a pic of it somewhere on here already i think!), the second trip is a 2 day 2 night sailing trip around the Whitsundays!! Really looking forward to getting out there and seeing more of good old Aus. I'm doing the trip on my own as the troops have already done them and haven't the money to do it again. It's all good, I'm looking forward to having a few adventures without them.

Little bear!! Really!! How the hell did you end up sleeping on safeways carpark?? I can't leave you for one second can I!! Hope your fur kept you warm!;)) I hear your still walking the extra mile...........you applied for any jobs yet??? I guess not!?? Big Kiss back sugar xx
