Day 2 in Paradise did the general beach stuff ie sun bathing swimming and body boarding. Interestingly the back packers hostels are so socialable, more they offer venues without pushing them. We took advantage of the thursday promotion, including 4 clubs.!! Well it would have been rude not to.

Upon leaving Nelson Bay, we took one of the advertised scenic route drives. So we drove most of the afternoon, however didn’t really get far. However as we are traveling through, exiting Sydney was as impressive as arriving. As we continued up the Pacific Highway we decided that as we are making good time we'd spend the night in Nelson Bay. Almost by luck we ended up camping at 1 mile beach for only $10. I was able to take advantage of some breate taking views at the observationg tower in the heart of Sydney centre. From the tower i was able to see the whole place, the opera house, Sydney harbour bridges and the water networks throughout the city. I was very impressed with the city,and can definately see myself returning. If we had more time there i think i would have dressed up for the opera and attended the opera bar outside. Just before we approached the Sydney, we spent the night in the Capital of Australia.
