The Following day after Mission Beach as the weather is still poor we would continue back down the coast towards Townsville  (captial of queens land) as we drove past it last time.  Yet again the place seemed quiet, not buzzing as i'd expect.We spent the night on a campsite by the sea front.  Not very exciting night, even the main sea front "The Strand" was a littel mondain. 

I seem to be loosing my days here in Cairns.  We went for a drive down the coast towards Mission Beach.  Mission beach seemed very quiet to me.  The actual beach was 100 fold better than anything you would hope to find in England however, i have now seen some of the worlds best beaches and im affraid it didnt have anything on Whittsundays Islands.  I have spoilt myself so in the words of Shanira Twain " That dont impress me much"&nbs...

We had a meeting with 8 others for the Frasers experience the previous evening. Having got our supplies it was an early 6 am wake up call. We loaded a 4x4 to beat all 4x4's and took to the road.
