On day 3 we drove to Prague from Berlin via Dresden. Dresden was beautiful. The city has been completely rebuilt since being firebombed and mostly destroyed by the Allies in February 1945. We saw the main square and a palace and garden. They were gorgeous. The highlight was the Cathedral which had a beautiful rotunda and was painted in pastel greens and pinks like an Easter scene. Day 1 Guten abend ladies and gentlemen. Tonight's entry will be short and sweet as tired is a real thing. We're all in Berlin safe and sound with a new passport stamp. We've fallen asleep over dinner and been awestruck at the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. We saw where the border was first opened in 1989.
