Seeing the cities.... Today I toured the town of Alajuela, which is where my hotel is. It took about an hour to see everything. No Joke. Then two of the girls I''m sharing a room with and I got luch at this great place down the street from the hotel, I can''t remember then name right now, though. Now we're running around San Jose trying to stay dry! The 3 of us are waiting in the Hotel Don Carlos, where we will be staying with the group on the last night, to wait for our taxi out of the rain. We went to the National Museum to see the butterfly exhibit, but it started POURING! (and it still is 3 hours later!) So we never got to see the butterflies... I'll be back in 3 1/2 weeks. San Jose is pretty cool. It actually reminds me of some parts of downtown San Diego... minus the rain. The 2 girls I'm with are nice. One was on my flight from Houston and has been here 3 times already. She's been great showing us around! The other girl is from Bologna, Italy. We've been having a great time sharing stories about her tours of California and my tour of Italy. If the rest of the group is anything like these 2, we'll have a fun time. Look for my next post either tomorrow, if I can get to a working computer, or in a couple weeks!
