Greetings. Today JJ passed his open water exam, and is going to do an advanced course in the next couple of days. Diving here is pretty awesome, have seen loads of stuff such as butterfly fish, white-eyed morays, trigger fish and many many more. Not yet seen a whale shark but there have been a few spotted nearby, so fingers crossed. Off to Chumphon pinicles dive site tomorrow afternoon which is supposed to be amazing. Sleeping is becoming easier as we get used to...

So folks another day, another dirary entry. Well today we started the diving, jj started his classroom work for his padi open water, and today donned the kit for the first time this morning. Learning exercises for diving, taking off mask and equipment underwater and practicing floating level in the water, (acheiving "neutral bouyancy" for those in the know.) So we mangaed to get to koh tao, after a flight from bangkok to ko samui (a relatively nearbly island) then a couple of hour boat ride to this tiny island. Got off the boat and got drenched buy some kids with water pistols and found out we arrived for thai new year! Darn good, so we were walking around the streets then this being a tropical rainforest there was a monster downpour. So imagine a waterfight with the whole town involed all ages, in really heavy warm ...

Well after a nail biting morning we finally made it to Koh Samui. Our flight was at 1200. Little did we know that there are two aiports in Bangkok, we were told by many people to go to the old airport. So we travelled to the old aiport and arrived at 1045. We went in and we're told we had the wrong airport and were supposed to be at the new airport, and it would take 50mins by taxi. So we jumped in a taxi and told him to put his foot down. So we've arrived safe and sound after an extremly long flight. Got driven around in a tok-tok for a couple of hours for around 40p each. Went to go look at some suits as well and now just chilling in the hotel.
