So it's been a couple of days since our last blog and all weve done is been speed boating and snorkelling on a tropical rainstorm, bribed our way out of thailand, spent many long hours in a mini van which must be the brainchild of the person who thought of the mystery machine, then took a funicular railway up penang hill and walked the 7km back down to the botanical gardens through tropical rainforest, and now its about 4 in the afternoon so really a slow few day...

So here we still are in Krabi, today we have been elephant trekking for a bit which was cool, there is nothing quite like being sat 10 feet up on top of 2 tonnes of significant muscle. There were even seatbelt2 on the elephant seat but I can't see that a 2 inch strap of nylon will do much in the way of helping if the elephant fell over, well safety first I suppose? Hi all, as you can see we are now in krabi, we spend the next 3 nights here then move onto malaysia. Yesterday in Khoa Sok we spent the day in the national park which was incredible. It's a man made lake created from the dam which provides all the power to Khoa Sok. But in the vast lake are massive limestone moutains covered in lush forest. We went on bamboo rafts,inside this amazing cave, had lunch on raft houses and enjoyed a walk through the jungle and a swim ...

So here we are in Khao Sok arfter a 12hour train journey last night, which was warm to say the least, I managed to get about 3 hours sleep and jj managed half an hour more, then this morning we got into the back of a 4x4 and then a 90 minute drive to where we are staying which is more jungle but this time there are a vey large mountains and monstorous bare rock faces, (hopefully a few pics there.) So we met our group last night. We have a canadian for a tour leader called waxy who seems like a good laugh. We have a father and son from tennessee, a girl from germany and another from italy. They all seem pretty cool. So we managed to sort out insurance, Oz bus, NZ tour and NZ sky diving last night as STA didn't give us the right stuff.
