So it's been a couple of days since our last blog and all weve done is been speed boating and snorkelling on a tropical rainstorm, bribed our way out of thailand, spent many long hours in a mini van which must be the brainchild of the person who thought of the mystery machine, then took a funicular railway up penang hill and walked the 7km back down to the botanical gardens through tropical rainforest, and now its about 4 in the afternoon so really a slow few days. Yesterday we seemed to spend about 11 hours travelling in various mini vans, some faster than others, getting out of thailand. Now we are in Penang and it has been raining a bit but that does not really matter becasue it's so warm. Penang seems to have a very european feel in places in as much as the colonial architecture seems to fell familiar. Also today we took a steep train up Penang hill and walked down which was so so steep, could not sto plaughing because it's impossible to walk properly. Mum as for the cheap rum, well, when in Rome... Early departure tomorrow as we head for the cameroon highlands.
