On Saturday we headed to Mission Bay just outside of Auckland and had our lunch beside the sea. There wasn't much in Mission Bay so we headed back into the centre of Auckland. Auckland is the alrgest city in New Zealand and you would not have thought it was the middle of a Saturday afternoon as it is so quiet.

Sunday was the first day of our ten day trip down to the south island. We travelled in the bus and stopped at a traditional Morae, which the native Maori people use as there town hall. So 22 of us slept on the floor and learned about traditional Maori life. It was really interesting and not something Grant and I would have been able to do if we had been on our own. Was a good way to get to know the new group!
