Oh well, the first three days in New Zealand and the weather was like perfect English summer days, anyway last night Ga said it seemed "a bit chilly" then we woke up to this view (photo) off we went to see if we could get on the Whale-watch, we were first reserve and yes we got onboard. Guess what, the snow on the mountains are from a storm over night and although the sun shone it was still very windy, tail end of the Gale so rough at sea (some puked, we didn't) well our time was almost up and they picked up the sound of a Sperm Whale, off we sped and there he was blowing on the surface all 8 tons, a few minutes later his tale came up and down he dived (wildlife here is amazing). Had a big cooked breakfast then drove to Lake Tekapo with stunning views to Mount Cook over the deep blue waters. This Country is beautiful, some times you think you're driving through the Cotswolds or the Lake District or Scotland or even the Swiss Alps. Thanks for all the messages it's nice to know someone is reading jgtravels. J & G
