Hi everyone!
Long time no speak! We are sorry for the lack of updates...days flash by and before we know it, we've been gone three weeks!!
We'll start from the day we left Craigs house and headed north to Noosa.
We arrived in Noosa at our very first hostel and it's fair to say we were a little concerned! The first thing we saw was some smelly lads stuff sprawled all over the dorm floor followed by a note on the wall warning about bedbugs!! (mind you, we had basically been living in luxury up until then. From that first night, we have stuck to Lonely planet reccomendations for places to stay and have been more than happy!)
On that note, we decided we would get out and about straight away and see what Noosa had to offer...Beautiful blue skies in mid-winter and an absolutely stunning national park. We spotted a koala sat up a tree the second we walked into the park, and at that point, the thought of the smelly hostel dorm was long gone.
The national park was definitely the highlight of Noosa.
After our day in Noosa, we headed to Rainbow Beach, a little town further north. Very chilled, a little warmer and once again beautiful beach!
On the evening we arrived there, the girl at the hostel asked us if we wanted to go for a walk to a 'sandblow'. Jez and I had no idea what or where it was but happily agreed to tag alone. When we arrived at the sandblow (a huge drifting chunk of sand that moves its way back from the beach), we were amazed...we felt like we were in the middle of the desert.
We had a go at sandsurfing - which was so much fun - before heading over the sandblow to watch the sunset.
After a better night sleep in a clean, tidy hostel, we left Rainbow beach for Hervey Bay, the gateway to Fraser Island.
I can't even descibe fraser island. We saw so much and loved every minute. We met a really nice group of people. Everyone is so lovely, which makes travelling so much easier!
We had a swim in Lake McKenzie, experienced travelling in a fourwheel drive over sand, spotted a few dolphins, some dingos and walked through the worlds only subtropical rainforest that has grown on sand alone, no soil! Fraser Island was amazing. I have a whole page worth of facts about it which I have no doubt you will be subject to when I get home!! I just don't even know where to start to tell you about it.
Next stop, Agnes Waters, one of the older towns in Australia. We decided to just chill on the beach here! We also popped into the travel agent to book up on a few more tours! We have booked 2 days in Cape Tribulation, 3 days in Alice Springs, as well as a days rafting in Mission Beach. (the budget has most definitely gone down the drain!!)
We left Agnes Waters at 9pm last night, travelled overnight on the coach and arrived in Airlie Beach this morning at 7am. Thats where we are as we speak. Today, we have chilled on the beach again, done some laundry and have updated our blog ready for our three-day trip to the whitsunday Islands starting tomorrow! So excited...no idea what to expect but it looks spectacular!
So yeah, all in all, we feel like we have already seen enough to last us until christmas! We don't even know where to begin to explain all the things we see every day that impress us! We can't believe we are here and are really excited and happy about exploring some more. We just wish everyone could be with us to share it with us. Hopefully we will get a chance to update you again before another 2 weeks time!
We love you all so much. Keep us updated on england
xxxx
p.s. the sound of the birds here is very different, and the pigeon-equivelant looks like some sort of weird turkey!!

Mum Hi Swetthearts. So good to hear you sounding so excited and upbeat. If you thought Fraser Island was amazing, I expect that the Whitsundaus will knock you for six. Can't wait to see your pictures. We are washing, cleaning and packing ready for back to England tomorrow . Joe has been really helpful as you can well imagine, he even put my body lotion on and got me dressed after my shower! I looked like an oil slick afterwards and needed showering again. We had a few lovely days in Valencia. Lis and Gary and Joe came to meet us yesterday and we went to Oceanographic" it was a truly special day. I will remember it forever. We must all do a girlieweekend here. You would love it" We miss you more than we can say but are happy to hear you so well. Joe sends all of his love and we send all of ours always. Be safe xxxxxxxooooooo
