Today was a bit of a non starter really. After getting up early I had a bit of a sketchy sketching lesson with Ugung the artist. Started slow but ended upbringing a good teacher. He keeps declaring that his english is no good but to be fair it's much better than my indonesian! We had a good chat, all Be it a repetative one. Katie chilled with her book and before we knew it, it was 11o'clock! So had yet another aimless wander where me and katie had a disagreement which led to us opting to just go chill in the monkey forest. That was wierd as the monkeys were tame enough to take your food but still wanted to rip me apart. Katie got a video of me s***ting me sen when a monkey went for me! Inwas ok like just showing up for the camera......
I would have taken em like but there was hundreds of them and one of me so I let it slide......again.
After then we were ravinous, ravonous?ravanous??......hungry, so we went for some fodder. 108k later we came back to refresh and the ugung took us to the Antonio blanco museum of fine art. It was too expensive for both of us to go in according to katie(£6.00, tight cow) so she sat outside chatting up a local while I perused the (perverse) fine art. ((nb from katie, "I'm not a tight cow, it's just Jon who finds it impossible to stick to a budget, knobhead. Could have spent that money on a bottle of voddy")) Renascence I think they call it. I'd call it unfinished like. Was good though. Now were chillin again with ugungs family. Katie's platting hair and I'm learning Indonesian. It's like English but with a lot of rdrdrdrdrdrdrdrd sounds. Can't do that me.
We ended up with voddy and cokes but when we got back from another wander Ugung was back from a fishing trip. He caught 2 tiddlers and his friend caught 2 and they gave us 2! Tried to refuse as to be fair there ws more meat on a butchers hook n it was their tea like. It was lovely though. Very spicy.
So after another five mins of convo in two hours we decided to go on a day trip around Bali with Ugung in the morning to see the sites. We say "oh Ugung, we have been to Bali and seen many thing, and nice and relax.......not like tour bus. We see one thing two thing three thing and more. We see all of real Bali in one day...."(as Ugung would say.)
