Allison's Europe Travels
July 4, 2012
Hey!
Happy July 4th in America! Usually right now, I'd be preparing to set off fireworks tonight, but instead, I'm touring the Alexander Nevsky cathedral with Darby. The cathedral was built in 1900 to show the Russain empire's dominance over the Baltic territtory. The cathedral was dedicated to prince Alexander Nevsky who led the Battle of the Ice, which stopped German crusaders in their east advance. The inside of the cathedral is amazing, fillled with mosaic and so many works of art! Going to the cathedral was such an amazing experience and so much fun! I promise to post some pics soon!
