Time to go out exploring - 4 days in Margaret River. We loaded up Checkez truck and Jenny's Lancer for the 3 hour drive. I drove Jenny's car following Checkez. We stopped half way to shop for provisions both food and booze. Margaret River is the epicentre of wine making in Western Australia as well as a holiday retreat. Jenny had booked a farmhouse for us to stay in. Pete also joined us for the trip making 6 of us.
Saw a few Kangaroos on the drive down - like foxes they seem to have a death wish on the roads by running out in from of cars as we pass. They would do a lot more damage than a fox if you hit them.
The Farmhouse was some what more palatial than I had imagined - more like "South Fork" in the show Dallas on TV.
400m across the valley is the nearest Winery. Looking forward to tomorrows wine tour.
Having quickly settled in it was time for a late lunch at a local Beer house in Margaret River Village which again made UK pub lunches look fit for those with no appetite. That was followed by a quick run out to view the beaches nearby before returning for a BBQ at the Farmhouse and an epic game of Garden Jenga where we broke all records in recording an amazing height to the tower. Watched Saints vs Liverpool live on TV before much needed Bed.......
