Every body was at work today and were away early, so we took advantage of being able to catch up on sleep, so didn't arise till midday. Fry up for Brekky then we decided to go for a magical mystery tour in the car to sus-out how best to get around.
We started with a short trip to the Wungong Dam about 15 miles away but were not able to get to the waters edge due to Local restrictions. Moved on to the long drive into Perth City Centre - about an hours drive. Driving is straight forward here and very similar to the UK with similar mentality from other drivers - hogging middle lanes, undertaking etc.
Naturally there were traffic jams approaching Perth especially as this was Friday afternoon. Didn't have particularly good map and no GPS enabled phone guidance so it was nothing more than a 3 hour drive taking in the sights.
Weather was pleasantly warm like Dubai at around 30 degrees and just right for our first Aussie BBQ on our return to Byford, which didn't disappoint.
Plans were then discussed and made for an afternoon of 4x4 off road driving on Saturday followed by a 4 day trip down to the Margaret River region for Wine tasting, Beach and Surf, and a Sky Dive from 14000 feet. Roll on the adventure.
Aaron is getting over his cold and my sore throat, (courtesy of Aaron), is improving as well. Will report back on 4x4 session tomorrow and will look to upload some photos soon but these take time as can only be done individually.
