After having seen the outside of the Cathedral last night we returned to the house. Today we went back to have a look around inside. It was nothing like what we have in Australia- for one it was MASSIVE. And everything about it was stunning. I don't think the photos are that great as they blurred a fair bit without flash, but it was beautiful. The ceilings were super-high and the windows were amazing. Apparently quite a few Cathedrals in France are this pretty because of how old the country is.
Afterwards we walked into the town centre and wandered through the Christmas Market, which I don't think we have in Australia. Basically there were heaps of little wooden stalls lining the streets selling all sorts of things- scarves, jewellery, champagne, food, etc. There were loads of people there too.
THEY SELL HOT WINE AND HOT ORANGE JUICE WHICH SOUNDS REALLY WEIRD BUT I WANT TO TRY HOT ORANGE JUICE. I DON'T KNOW WHY.
Whilst we were wandering around a band suddenly appeared and started marching through the street and drumming, which was awesome to watch.
I don't know why, but it felt more Christmassy here than Christmas in Australia feels.
