September is going to be good...i can just tell.

September 18th is Chile´s independence day. People have already started to decorate their houses, their cars, the groccery store with flags and other patriotic decor. My host mom tells me that it is the biggest celebration she´s ever seen; there are stands on the streets selling traditional Chilean food and beverages. There are people in the streets dancing and fireworks over the ocean at the end of the night.

The week before the 18th we have a week off of school. I am planning on going to Buenos Aires, Argenting during the break with a small group of international students. I am so excited to get see another culture and more importantly, another stamp in my passport!! woo hoo. It is only going to cost 50 US dollars for the bus ride there and back. However, even though it´s cheap, the ride is going to take 20 hours!
