Tell us something about Portobello Road - Watch out for travel bookshop owners with orange juice in plastic cups walking around corners.
A man took his dog to the Vet. The vet picked him up and looked him up and down and in and out and then said, " I think I am going to have to put this dog down."
"Why?" asked the owner, somewhat distraught.
"Beacuse he's too heavy" replied the vet.

Hey there sweetest thang! Great journal entry! Great to hear about all the fabo things you have been up too! Sounds like you are settling in well. It was so fantastic to talk to you last sunday! That was the best birthday suprise ever! I checked out the website for the "duskbar". It looks amazing, real funky. I cant get over the size of the cocktail list, how do you remeber all of them? hee hee. It was great to catch up with lex on sunday. We all went out for a dance at garage. Definietly not VB, but good for something different. You were there in spirit. Went to McClaren Vale with Caty and Jessie on Easter Monday. We had lunch at "The Barn". It was really cute and cosy. Food was great too. We shared 3 lucious desserts, white chocolate tart with fresh raspberries, tiramisu and a passionfruit cheesecake. Yummo! We even got Caty to share a pot of tea with us. Yipeeee. Nothing much to tell, apart from Mum and i are heading over to melbourne next week to say goodbye to lauren before she heads overseas. Oh and also to do lots of shopping. Hope you get yourself a pair of jeans soon. Shop assistants are so rude over there, i noticed that too. They like totally ignore the fact you are even standing there. Clearly the weather makes them grumpy. hee hee Anyway bubs, like i said before it was wonderful to talk to you. i think you have given me the travelling bug. I am so keen to come over! Love you lots. Rug up, Kels

Hello my cousin,
Your mum sent me a link to the site - gosh you are efficient! Its making me miss London, love Notting Hill and where you are based!
I am in at work - its Sunday so can't write much as need to be productive...and hit a few deadlines. All good here- have my first client ANZ and its been a bit stressy; highs and lows but we have had 76 applications to take part in the challenge we are doing to Vietnam. Only 30 positions - so we have reached target! Big relief!! So I am off cycling Vietnam 24th Nov for 10 days, and have to get all these bank employees to raise $5000 each before they go!! Big news I am coming to London/France around mid Sept as the chief b-maid in a wedding on Sept 23rd in France (Near Bayonne - south, west) . Hope to catch up. Also thought you might want to catch up with Adam Tyney - living in Fulham and doing pretty well. Started a new job (his own investing into betting on interest rates...) but he is in good form, cycling lots as he prepares for doing a bit of Tour de France. He is pretty well established there now and has good contacts and friends, great guy. His email address is [email protected] and phone no is 07795957495. He can be hopeless (as any boy) on rememberign to call back etc but sure he would like to catch up. I will send him an email too. Must fly - all sounds like fun there and you look great!! Jordi xxxxx PS just found a new flat in St Kilda which is lovely and move in 2 weeks! James here in Melb next w-e for comedy festival.

Hi Honey, I thought it was about time I added another message. Pa and I have spent today stripping the wallpaper off our bedroom walls, yukky job! We have moved our bed etc into Amelia's room and our room is completely empty and the carpet is covered in black plastic, very attractive!! We have also had some quotes for plantation shutters, but are still wating on some more. We have chosen the colours for the room, a feature wall behind the bedhead and the rest of the walls another colour. At the moment Coopie is sitting on the other chair in the study sleeping! He is now behaving like a real cat, sleeping lots, but being very affectionate, I think he really missed us whlie we were in Robe, sorry Caty I didn't see you, but we were there over Easter. Footy is on and we haven't had dinner yet, so time to go. Take care, love you lots, Ma xxxxx

Dearest Jess,
Well I am certainly missing you! Uni is just not the same without you...although in some regard with the amount of work there is to do this year, I doubt it would be very useful writing notes to each other in lectures and having coffee instead of attending some boring lectures. So glad you are meeting so many people! How awesome to be working in a bar over there. I love reading all your journal entries-you sound so busy and yet you are so organised with everything all the time. I love the rose lights! I would love some for my room! Can't wait to hear all about the polo match you go. There will be so many cute boys I am sure!
Miss you and love you lots
Will leave the boys updates you asked for when you check your email.

Hello Miss (and rest of Charlton family)! Things are sounding great over there...thanks for all the updates. Your journal entries are fab, always enjoy reading them during my lunch breaks. No real news from me...Had a good Easter down at Robe with Tony, I believe I saw your mum and dad down there, but didnt get a chance to say hello though. It was cold, but had some great antique stores so that made up for it! Going to Mildura this weekend, should be fun. Hope that your week is going well, and you still have some yummy easter eggs to munch on. All the best Chicken xx Big hug

Hey Jess, Well not long since my last posting. Now that i know about this site, i think i am addicted. I keep checking it to see if you have added anything. Anyway, i am home from work today. I am having a study day, so i am working on my uni assignment. I get 90 hours off work a semester to "learn". My assignment is about network security tools, whoow, exciting. Anyway, not much else to report. keep having fun. Darling sister Mel.
Beautiful Older Sister Mel
Hey Pessica! This site is great. I only found out about it a few days ago, so it was interesting reading all your messages at once. It sounds like things are working out really really well. Your place looks so cute, and even though your room is small it still looks very homely. I am glad you are enjoying nannying, it sounds like the perfect job for you! Organising the pantry cupboards, doing some cooking, etc. And it was also good to hear you got the waitressing job as well. At the moment I am sitting in my room which is freezing watching CSI. I had my final lesson of tennis for the season and we played round robin games, i won 3 out of 4 which was good. Al and I are going to the coast camping this weekend, and then flying to Melbourne the following weekend to catch up with his friends. We are going to go to Hawthorn vs some other team i don't care about, and also the comedy festival which should be cool. We had the work ball the other weekend which was fun. I got my hair put up and it cost $92!!! And the hairdresser whinged about how much hair i had the whole time.. rude!! Anyway, i think this is too long for a posting. sorry. glad you are good! nice to see some pictures too. see ya.
Great Aunt Susan
Hi Jess
Sounds like you are doing fabulously well. It would have taken me a year to get as organised as you are in a week. The apartment views look classic London. If you"re going to stay in London you may as well stay somewhere that actually looks and feels like London I say (well the London of the movies and TV bonnet dramas anyway). I've been travelling all over NSW for the exhibition of Aboriginal photos I'm working on. Moree, Lightning Ridge, Brewarrina, Walgett. And a side trip to Perth. A once in a lifetime opportunity really, being welcomed into homes and communities etc. Tired but happy. However, the Swannies are embarrassing at the moment, and I may have to review my membership! Not really, just a typical Sydney thing to say. If you're sending emails at all, I don't seem to be getting them (or Mad's). Think it must be my work's inhouse email filter system. Anyway, this message board seems to work a treat. Keep on loving it and I'm sure you'll be running your own nightclub by the end of the month! love Susan

Hello my sweet girl! Sounds like you are having a fabulous time! May i just say that i love your apartement. It is adorable! Oh and i just love the rose lights - very Jess. I can just see you now having cups of tea on your balcony in the mornings! How very cute! Glad to hear that all is going well with the nannying job, and the new job sounds great too. Cant's beleive they have a selection of 50 cocktails. Sound like a fun job, perfect for you. Well enjoy setting up your apartment, stay warm.
Love ya! Love Bejels xoxox

Jeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssica! Wow... this site is cool! wish I'd figured it out 6 months earlier!!! Hows it all going over there? Did you get my crazy photos? My season is winding down and I'm getting all geared up to go home, although it will be really really sad to leave here! I'm looking forward to travelling canada a bit and finally getting some sun in thailand. Hows England? met the queen yet? Drunk lots of tea? Hope all is well... Love and miss you lots! xxx
