Hi honey,
I am sitting in front of the heater half watching the footy show. Pa has taken Mel back to her hotel. She came for dinner tonight and last night as well -as did the Grannies, so they could catch up with her properly.
It was lovely to chat to you on Sunday after Pa's drinks party. I think he enjoyed all the celebrations for his birthday, it was lovely to have family (but we missed you) and close friends there.
Rory dropped over last night with his new car - a Masserati!! Can you believe it? It's black and amazing. I had a sit in the driver's seat, going to go for a drive in the hills with them sometime soon.
Loved the recent photos from your day in the park - it looked really lovely.
Glad to hear that the weather is a bit better. It's been quite strange here, cold but dry, but it feel like Spring in in the air, even though we haven't really had a lot of winter. It's going to be 22 next week - crazy.
Well take care love you lots,
Ma x x x

Hello Miss Jessie!!!!
I have FINALLY worked out the bloody journals!! I just spent a good 2 hours reading through all the entries (woops, sorry work...) I LOVE them!! Please keep writing bella, I love that every sentence just sounds like you (particularly fond of the June 13 entry - has been printed off for my wall of "reasons to miss home" - you and your incredible eye for detail being the thing I miss!!). Terribly jealous of all the fabulous things you're up to over there, cannot believe however, that there wasn't a little more detail on you meeting Kylie Minogue?! Hello? Jess? What have they done to you? KYLIE MINOGUE. YOU MET HER. Where's the 4 page breakdown story?!!?
Missing you so much sweetness, when are you back in Ads? Might just have to do a trip home to welcome you home!

Hello lovely
Back home now after much eating through Spain ( you MUST go - particuarly to San Sebastian) and then Rome. We caught up with young Joseph Pagliaro a Roma on the night that Italy won against Germany in the Semi-Final. Dinner was great but sleep difficult with the whole country out celebrating till all hours. Very cool to experience however - the atmosphere was electric.
Sad and glad to be back. It seems like such a long time ago we were consuming cocktails at Costes - but what a beautiful memory!
So pleased you could come to meet us. Enjoy the rest of your time away.

Beautiful photos from Provence. Had a look in a Terence Conran book I have and your village was mentioned but all the buildings looked like yours. Few of the photos are captioned so we will have to wait until you see it yourself if any are of your place.
Your english observations are similar to mine although mine are a wee bit more cruel. We had the misfortune of being in Stratford on a hot sunny day. I have never seen so many bloated pasty skinned blokes wearing awful clothes - mostly tied around their heads - and behaving behaving as I did that day. I thought we had stumbled upon a Git convention.
I will be interested on your observations of Paris - particularly in comparison to those of Provence. See if you can punch a metro ticket seller on our behalf. A comparison of French post offices - to their British counterparts - would also make interesting reading.
Weather clear and mild - but cold in the morning. Crows on top of the ladder and, according to Matthew Lloyd, "Five goals better than any other side playing in the competition". Kym Beazley has so many gun shot woulds in his foot - it looks like he is wearing sandals. Saw DaVinci Code - competent but no real development from the book. Charlie and Cooper well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry if there is a time difference and you dont actually recieve this on your bday, dont know whether you are ahead or behind AUS. This travel journal is such an amazing idea and wow do i feel like a technophobe! I am so excited that i can come and see you whilst i am in London, keep emailing and ill update you on my details and dates. My friend Nat who you may have met will also be arriving in London, however a few days after me. I think she arrives on the 13th October but she is also planning on nannying for a period through 'Kensington nannies' so perhaps you can have a fellow nannyer friend to debrief with after a long days work! Look forward to reading more of your journals and i shall see you in October! xoxo

Hi Jess, how ya doing? Well I am off work today for study leave and spending the day alone at Al's. Vicky (my flat mate) is getting her wisdom teeth out and will be there with her annoying boyfriend so i am evacuating. It's freezing here right now, and i have to play tennis outside tonight, great! Here are some dot point on my life right now - made awesome cauliflower soup the other night - going to sarah water's wedding in june, no idea what to wear - the dog next door is howling right now - i am doing the world's most boring assignment on server configurations - damn crows lost to stupid richmond - watched oprah today and nearly cried, typical oprah - sucking a strepsil cos i have a sore throat, typical, cos i had today off anyway! Oh well. I'll call/msg you on your bday. See ya!
