Time for (what will probably be) my last update! My exchange to Seoul has almost ended already, and there are just a little less than 2 weeks of regular classes left. As you might have read already, South-Korea might not be the best country to be in at the moment. Nevertheless, everyone seems to be quite calm. Life just goes on as usual, and almost nobody seems to be extremely concerned about the recent happenings.
My previous update was already quite some time ago, and therefore I do not know where to start this update exactly. To make it myself easier, I will just start by what happened most recently. Some time ago a friend visited me in Seoul. Off course we have been to the main touristic highlights within the city, but we also visited some places outside Seoul, such as Ganghwa and Seokmo Island, and a temple in Suwon I had not yet been to myself as well. At that temple we also watched a traditional martial arts performance. Furthermore, we have been to Lotte World, which is the world's largest indoor amusement park (or at least they claim so). During one of the evenings we also visited the lantern festival in Seoul. In short: we had a great (as well as exhausting ^^) time in Korea!
A couple of weeks ago, there was also an international student festival organized at Korea University. Here people could 'promote' their own countries to all other students. At first I was not very enthusiastic about it, but it turned out to be quite fun eventually. Furthermore, some time ago, Seoul also hosted the G20 meetings. You could not get around it, since there were posters about it everywhere around the city, and it was on some TV-channels almost non-stop.
Now that my time in Seoul has almost come to an end, I still do not regret choosing South-Korea as my exchange destination at all. Also, I am happy that after I finished the exams I do not have to come back to the Netherlands right away, but still have some time to travel around South-Korea with my parents and brother first. I am definitely looking forward to this holiday! I think that when I will be back in the Netherlands, (probably after a while) I will definitely miss living in such a large Asian metropolis like Seoul, the beautiful campus of the university, as well as all the nice people I met during my exchange. Nevertheless, I am almost sure that I will visit Seoul again someday!!!

Ramon
HomeBase You don't have to miss the war talks when your back in the Netherlands, Eindhoven is nowadays just like Chicago in the times of Al Capone. We are looking forward to leave this town for a while and see you again in Seoul i.s.o. Skype. Your Photografic skills are improved a lot during you study, although it was no lecture you followed I think. Bye, see you in 14 days.
