Tonight, I savored apple pie with two other Argentinian friends in a alley café on a hill in the capital. I don't usually hangout with friends in urban cafes, but it was a good time. Having just suffered through a test on the social solidarity movement in Argentina, I needed some company after a long day of cramming. In this little warm nook in this posh café with hot espresso (it is late fall here), beside this mile high apple pie slice with two laughing Argentinean friends across from me, I felt somewhat calm as though I were living in the moment, something I strive towards but don't always succeed at. While I sometimes feel ready to come home, its moments like these that I wish that I could spend more time in Argentina not just to travel, but to get to know some of my local friends better.

Marsha How ironic that this apple pie moment came after a test on the Social Solidarity movemnt. Nothing like social solidarity over argentinian apple pie!
