hello,
our next stop along the way was kuala lumpur after mallaca, we got a taxi back to the bus station, that the little nice old man sorted for us.
there was no crossing the boarder or anything this time, was a pleasant journey, the bus was a bit busier than the previous one.
we arrived at kuala lumpur we just got dumped on the side of the road we did not know what was happening. we were happily sleeping, next minute the bus driver was shouting something in some funny language and everyone was getting of, we had no clue weather it was kuala lumpur or not but we got of on the side of the road anyway.
next thing we knew we were getting robbed by the taxi driver, we told him the name of our hotel (which we later found was just round the corner) and he charged us 20 malaysian dollars. couldnt believe it! anyway we arrived safe at a very nice hotel called the swiss in.
on the first day we booked a tour guide to take us around, he was a nice man called EP. that wasnt his real name, but we probably wouldnt of been able to pronounce it.
our first stop was the kings palace which you couldnt really see but we got to have our pictures with the gaurds on the horses so that was good. we also went to the communications tower which you get to go up and look out at an amazin veiw of kuala lumpur, good view of the twin towers.
we then went to a veiw point to see the twin towers from the ground which was good.
we carried on with the drive after that he took us to a tin making place, the make necklaces andf rings and the like but they tried to charge us an absolute bomb and it wasnt even silver, EP was trying to get us to buy a key ring but by this leg of the journey we already had quite a few!
he took us to a nice little indian restaurant for dinner (we were feeling generous so bought his to) you eat of a banana leaf which was an experience! your meant to eat with your right hand but we used folks. we couldnt watch him eat, would put us right of our food as he was ramming it in with his hands!
after that we hiked up about 300 steps in the heat to the cave temple, monkeys just ran around freely which as the highlight for me, as the cave was just a caved really!
at night we just explored little china which was just behind our hotel, it was busy! and they were roasting nuts in charcoal on the street! we ate in a little cafe just on the street!
kuala lumpur was a nice city, with some friendly people, they didnt stare at us as much! one nice man just came and chatted to us, and told us we should go to this park wood thing on our own and camp out, we didnt fancy it! but we thank him for the advice and moved on!
