Hi!
Sorry for not writing for a while, its been a crazy whirlwind the last few days! I havent had access to a computer untill today. I'm having such an amazing time and have seen so many incredible things. We are always up at 6 am to shower, eat and pack then off in the bus by 8. Then sightseeing all day including boat tours or walking tours or just off on our own, then dinner, typically together. After that there is usually some activity arranged which seems to include beer. There has been a lot of drinking, but also a lot of fast bonding! There was one night that I didnt get home till 4 in the morning! I've made good friends with two Canadian girls and an Australian guy. The four of us are very comfortable with each other and there is a lot of joking and laughing. There are 46 of us all together and over all its a really good group. I'm one of the oldest, oh well!
Paris was my favorite place so far. We took the ferry which enabled us to see the white cliffs of Dover. We reached Paris later in the day and had a quick bus tour to start. It was so amazing to see all of that architecture and history I've always loved. The Eiffel Tower is stunning! Me and the Canadian girls were up at 7:30 to get ahead of the line and it payed off, we were the first ones to walk up all the steps! What a feeling! Then we took the elevator to the very top. That was the first of crazy days, on that day we toured the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph, walked down the Champs de Leiiss (totally wrong spelling!), got a crepe, toured the Louvre, then Notre Dam, went back to the hotel to clean up for our cabaret show and then to a night club after that. I ended up losing my voice! I'm still all squeaky and horse. So worth it!
After Paris we hit Switzerland, then Germany. I was surprised to find Germany so clean and pretty. We went to a really crazy beer house where the jug of beer is like 3 beers in one! The stien is HUGE!
We are in Austria today and I hadnt put much thought into it previously, it was just another stop along the way. But it is so unbeleivably beautiful here, I think its my second favorite place so far. Todays events involved a 25 km mountain bike tour in the morning and this afternoon I went paragliding! This involves running off a cliff with the parachute already open! Craaazy fun! I loved it.
So tomorrow we are off to Venice, Italy. I'm really looking forward to it! I will be sure to do another update as soon as I'm able.
Hope you are all doing well,
Jen
