A quick brunch in Copenhagen before heading to the Cruise ship. Time to get into the cruise mood after the paperwork, evacuation drill and settling in with a BBQ, music, dancing and hot sun. At 5pm the horn blew and we were off! We checked out the whole ship (I think), trying the different sports options as we went and had some dinner along the way. Very relaxed atmosphere. PS: I'm not seasick!!! Hooray!

A quick trip into the cité this morning to get into Notrè Damè. The lines were so long we had to be satisfied with coffee, croissant and melon at a cafe nearby and some pics outside. Back to grab our bags and off to the Gare de Nord to wait for our train to Amsterdam. First class seats and some time to relax was a very nice treat. Sue and Peter Maxwell met us in Amsterdam along with everyone here for the festival call 'Gay Pride' - a real party atmosphere. ...

A terrific day today with the Catacombs first up followed by a siesta then dinner including Escargot before a trip to the Arc de Triomphe tonight. It has been very hot so the catacombs were a great relief after a two hour wait. We are staying in the inner suburbs and took a walk to find dinner which was very interesting. We have been using the Metro to get around and have it pretty down pat now.

4:50am was the start of a long day. On the train from Clapman Junction to Kings Cross Station to catch the 7:01 EuroStar. We left our bags in the foyer of our hotel and set out to find an early lunch. It was not all that far to the Eiffel Tower so we were off, from there we walked along the Seine taking in the sights until we got to Notre Dame. It was very hot (some signs saying 41!) and we had not prepared well with no sunscreen!!! We bought cheese, homus and c...

Breakie at Pep & Fodder before climbing Carlton Hill behind our accommodation. The sky is the most stunning blue today. There are an assortment of monuments and buildings up this hill and from here you can see the whole city - new and old. A lovely way to say goodbye to a beautiful city. Back to London for our final family dinner before our goodbyes.
