Jumped on bus 9 today for our Traditional History and City Highlights. We drove through the city with one stop at a town square then headed to an island that houses the Open-Air Museum. A sample of old buildings including churches, houses and grain storage have been relocated to this island from across Finland to preserve this history. The tour guide was in such a hurry you could barely take a photo and people were having to walk cross legged as they were in need of a toilet!
We got back to the bus 30 minutes early and the guide had to find the driver.
We had time to see an extra monument made of stainless steel which was pretty funky (pic) before heading to the Rock Church which has been carved out of the rock and had a copper dome. We returned to the ship and there was free wifi (hard to access and very slow) so we sat for over an hour trying to update the blog and check emails etc. It was cold and breezy and I was freeze by the time we got on the ship.
We had a late lunch took in the Magika Show (and, of course, guess who was chosen to be part of the show!) and indulged in the Chocoholics Feast instead of having dinner!!
