We took a wander around the city of Prague, arriving at the Astronomical Clock at 11:30am ready to see it in action at 12:00 noon. Little figurines turn around in the two open windows as the clock strikes the hour. The figures on the outside move too and are easier to see, the skeleton rings the bell.
On to the river for a paddle boat ride - we got a swan - which in hindsight was the heaviest paddleboat and so the hardest to move and the slowest - but we had a laugh with other people who had also chosen the swan - the slowest but the best looking!
We were in need of a good feed after that and found the Royal Cafe to recharge before grabbing our bags and making our way back to the airport.
The security at the airport was very disorganised and took an age to get through with both Scott and I (and about 9 out of 10 other people) having an additional check.
The view of Venezia as you fly in as the sun sets is beautiful.
A lovely lady at the airport gave as two tickets to use in the Vaporetto as she was leaving and the tickers still had another day of travel available in them.
My personal guide got us to our Hotel easily only having to ask directions for the last 20 metres at a little restaurant, which we returned to for starfish starters, lasagna, whole grilled fish and vino - or at least I'm pretty sure that's what we had! Hehe
My new best friend, Wesley the dog shouted us a limoncello and aniseed liquor as a thank you for leaving him some of his favourite - grilled fish.
A great welcome to the real Venezia!
