Coober Pedy, South Australia
Made the long drive from the SA border down to Coober Pedy. Narrowly avoided lots of frilled necked lizards which were sunning on the roadside.
Driving into Coober Pedy was interesting as it is surrounded by opal mines with large colored sand pyramids all over the paddocks and the horizon. 90% of the worlds opals come from this region!
The caravan park is rough which we find amusing.
