Gorgeous weather today so we rode our bikes into town and relaxed at our new favorite cafe "The Gingerbread House". Over lunch we discussed the pros & cons of staying in Cairns working for a while or continuing with out trip. We unanimously agreed that we would continue on to Darwin! Highlight today: making the decision to keep going on our adventure.

While Mel went for her third job interview, I went down to The Coffee Club on the esplanade and read the paper! Drove to the Daintree Village and went on a river tour. Very cruisy and spotted Water Dragons, King Fishers and Crocodiles. Because most crocs are submerged when spotted, the best way to judge their size is to look at their head and x it by 7. Went for a cycle around town and explored some hidden bike paths in the outer suburbs. It's 27 degrees today and we love it! Also love having the Cairns Central shopping center opposite as we can just stroll over to get bread rolls for lunch, window shop or post a letter! Slept till 1pm (by accident). Had lunch then drove out to the Crystal Cascades. Very thick, tropical jungle with a rocky stream flowing down from the mountains like steps. Had a nice walk along the cascades, although it's raining on and off today so got a bit damp. Highlight today: Cascades walk.

Walked into town and strolled along the marina, checked out the poker games at the Casino and then headed to the esplanade for a recharge coffee at The Coffee Club. Cooked crunchy chicken, kumara mash and buttered asparagus for dinner and watched Dropzone & Van Diemens land. Highlight today: the 'casualness' of the day...
