Well, what an adventure we had in Thailand! Managed to travel a whole month without any major mis-haps. Minus the fact fanny lost her wallet (got it back though!), and I had a mini-operation in a minging Thai Hospital cos I got an earring wedged in my ear. Gutted! I would probably say that we've seen more of Thailand than we have done of Scotland. First of all we went up north to Chang Mai after spending 2 horrible nights in Bangkok (Bangkok literally smells of crap and I definately wouldn't recommend it!). In Chang Mai we went jungle treking - not an easy job as you'll see by the photo's! All we did was sweat sweat sweat. And also moan about sweating too (never realised how much of a hike it was!) We also went bamboo rafting which was nice. Me and Fan just sat on it while the guys done the steering (this is the life!). We also went on an elephant too. How hairy are elephants by the way?! Was good fun though! Then we travelled down the other end of Thailand and went to Kho Phangan a wee Island down South. We got there by train which was the worst journey ever. In our cabin we had the clampits (who couldn't have made more noise if they tried, or had anymore people in their family!), and there was a man in the bottom bunk who snored like anything. There's loud snoring, and there was this man. Never heard anything like it in my life! In Kho Phangan we stayed in a lovely little hut on the beach. It was nice and romantic with a double bed and everything! But, it was couples and families, couples and families, couples and families, couples and families, me and fanny. Gutted! Also hired some wee mopeds on the Island so scooted around on them for a few days. It was funny cos I ended up taking fanny on the back of my moped cos her wheel was wonky, and I'm the one that can't drive! I also drove at night to this waterfall party thing. Was crap, and I was drinking coke, so needless to say we didn't stay for long! Next we went to Krabi where we done a 4 island tour. Here we visited a place called 'Chicken Island' - it's named that way cos it's meant to look like a chickens head. Me and Fanny thought that it looked rather like a mans privates - trust us eh?! We also done an all day kayaking trip that nearly ended us. After we finished we realised that we could've done a half day trip instead of the full day one! After Krabi we went to Phi Phi which was gorgeous. Probably the best place that we visited actually. It was, however, one of the worst places to get hit by the Tsunami, so there was alot of construction going on still. Went on a night out there and were drinking buckets of vodka and red bull - needless to say the rest of the night was a blurr!!! Fanny also got herself a new tattoo which is a butterfly surprisingly on her foot! It was done with bamboo shoots which looked bloody painful. Next we went to Phuket - this is where the wallet and hospital incidents happened! The funny thing was was that they both happened in the space of about 1 hour of each other (just our luck eh?!). Also went to see 'Simon Cabaret' - it was a kinda hollywood show, done with men, dressed as women. Some of them even had breasts. Was weird to see! At the end of the show, they ran out to get their pictures taken with the audience, so fanny being fanny went rushing up to one of them. A second later I hear this '100 baht, 100 baht, Jen, 100 baht for a f**king photo'. The he/she was demanding money, and it was only after the photo had been taken. Needless to say Fan wasn't best pleased, and I nearly wet myself laughing! After that we spent our last night in Bangkok which happened to be Valentines Day. Gutted. Fanny even bought me a card (nice and romantic!). So, we went out and drowned our sorrows! When we were back in our hotel room, we ran out of toilet roll, so Fanny went to explain to the guy that we needed more (complete with actions!), and in the meantime I stole 5 bath mats, a german book, and a massive wooden elephant that I nearly broke my back lifting! No idea what possessed me to do that, but it seemed a good idea at the time! All in all, Thailand was a good laugh. Had so much fun there, and hardly spent any money cos it was so cheap. However, Thai men are minging, Thai women are desperate, the Thai Men/Women are disgusting! Looking forward to Singapore, so, NEXT COUNTRY!!! Funny Quotes So Far (mainly from Fanny, but still) 1. Fanny bought a packet of grape sweets and turns roumd and says 'god Jen, these sweets smell very grapey' (what are they supposed to smell of - oranges?!) 2. Getting off the bus with light coloured PJ's on, Fan turns round and says 'I hope I don't have brown marks on my bum. You know when you scratch your bum and...............' STOP! 3. After a night out fanny says 'I wonder what else we ate lastnight cos my spew looks like it had leeks in it' (classy fan, really classy!) 4. In the toilet and Fanny shouts out 'great, love it when you fart and it smells of Thai food'!!!!!!! 5. Lying on the beach, getting a tan, and I turn round and say 'God fan, another day or so on the beach in this heat, and i'll be the colour of chocolate'. Fan replies 'me too - white chocolate'!!!!!
