so had a couple of days spare between san diego and LA so we went back to Yosemite..what can we say Liz loved it that much! And Liz loves Jen for coming back with her!!! so took the long coach journey back up and stayed 2 days: one day was filled with checking out some more sights by our free guide, visited the hotsprings..did some skinny dipping (we're JOKING!!) but some old men were infact naked and we were trying so hard to not look and trying even harder not ...

On wed we decided to add another country to our list and venture down into Mexico-and not just to Tijuana as most people say but further down to a couple of other places too. San Diego was really near the border so didn't take long to get there and fly through, the Mexicans don't seem to care who enters their country really compared to the massive queues going the other way! First stop was Tijuana which was so colourful but we just let some people off and continu...

hello everybody..we're in very sunny San Diego. we travelled from Yosemite down to San Francisco and then on to La and stayed the night, then on to San Diego....so we're very confused where we are, what the day is...? So arrived on Sunday and found our hostel pretty easily, settled in and took a walk round our neighbourhood...the Gaslamp district! its actually really nice...not too many beggars, very classy!! The city seems unlike alot of the ones we've visited ...

So on Wed we headed out of the city and into Yosemite national park area! Journey on the Bug bus not too bad compared to some of the others we've had so far, we're becoming very seasoned travellers now that 4 hour trips are nothing to us!! Got to 'the Bug'  the mountain resort where we were staying full of cute little cabins and a dining area with animal heads on the wall etc! The night was still young though as we whisked straight away before even checking in...

So on Monday we thought we'd satisfy our slightly more morbid side and check out some prisoner tales from the island jail of Alcatraz. (not Azkaban from Harry Potter as Jenny kept saying!) Meant a cool ferry trip over, we're getting in quite a lot of them so far in America, stood up top so we could take pics as we approached again (note pic above which shows the island!)
