From Jenn's Point of View:
It's 4:15 in Washington, DC. I'm sitting in my office, inhaling new carpet smells, listening to a jackhammer through the wall on one side of my office, and smelling paint fumes coming through the door on the other side of my office. My entire office building, undergoing a major multimillion dollar renovation, is an enormous construction site. The kind I grew u[ listening to my Dad describe and wishing I was on with him. I'd like to officially take that wish back! I describe my work environment in such detail because it's important to understand just how badly I want to get away from here. It's dirty! It smells! It's loud! And most of all… doesn't Europe sound much more appealing than work anyway!?Katherine and I will be meeting up in Philly in just 2 days! On Thursday afternoon, we'll rendezvous somewhere in the Philly airport, find our gate, and board the plane headed to Paris. We arrive on Friday morning, really early and I know she's not going to let me sleep! Which is for the best, considering we'll want to get acclimated to the right time zone as quickly as possible! We have big plans for our time in Europe - we're at the Paris-Bastille from April 4th to the 7th and plan to do a champagne tour of the Reims & Epernay regions on Sunday the 6th that includes a visit to Reims and the cathedral and visit the Mumm cellars. We'll explore the champagne vineyards and visit the Moët & Chandon cellars. We leave Paris on the 7th and head to Den Haag for the night. Then it's on to Amsterdam for 3 nights where we're planning to check out tons of different types of food, we want to see the huge checker board and hopefully we'll have time to get bikes and explore the countryside! After Amsterdam, it's on to Brussels for 3 nights where we'll celebrate with some of Katherine's co-workers! We end our trip in Paris for two final nights!Stay tuned for silly stories, fun pictures and our whole trip travel journal!
