Radioactive Rob and Jupiter Jen went on a walkabout today exploring Esher which is Southwest of London. We observed the virtual absence of red lights. Everyone merges into the roads. We were informed that it's their attention to NOT wasting energy. Idling cars, stopping for lights, etc. is a waste of energy. They also mentioned the cost of having red lights and the wires, the maintenance during storms...they don't have the expenses of maintaining or installing either so it's minimizing costs all around. They are wonderful earthguards with recycling and composting. It's refreshing to see a whole country embracing the care of our earth!
