Hey Peeps!!!

Well its our first day in Rio we are stying in Mellow Yellow hostal near Copacobana beach and as you can see from the picture its overcast but still lovely and warm. We went and had a coconut milk at the beach with Jane and Dan, two people we met in the hostel. The beach is great its full of strutters ha!! All the woman in teeny tiny thongs and Fellas in tiny lil budgie smugglers, and some are high waisted. I love it!! very funny. (Gay I think Ant would love it too).

We have recovered from the flight which was 11 hrs 45mins long, and neither of us could sleep so we just had a big filmathon and then got to Mellow Yellow at about 11pm and we had some beers in the bar before we crashed. I must say it's a big difference to my lovely 4* Apartments, we got handed bedding on the way in and you had to make your own bed. No cream carpets, flat screen tvs and ensuites for me anymore :o(.

Tonight we are going to a favelor funk party the van picks us up at 11pm and fingers crossed the weather will clear tomorrow so we can head up suger loaf mountain and see christ the redeemer.

So thats all for now, I'm off to bar for my free caprioska :o) all the girls get a free drink a day Ha!! Mark said its sexist hehe!! be in touch sooon.........
