Jolly good day chaps, I do hope this finds all well. A very quick bulletin from me as internet is scarce and far between. Here's a little confession,as I've been away I've found love. True love. His name is Kala and he's the most beautiful boy ever. Love at first sight. He meauses a few feet tall, standing with arms up, covered in frizzy auben hair, deep brown eyes and the cheekiest smile. I have had the absolute delight in working with him in the last few days, along with 7 other babes,and boy what a handful. One must practice adjility and their best lara croft skills before arriving to avoid being thieved of cleaning utensils - brooms, hoses, gloves and mask. All will be wipped from you in seconds.
In contast, I also spent 9 days working with big, man eating bears. Sun bears. Okay, I may have exadurated, they've no interest in eating me, just the 43kg of fruit I had to endure chopping daily, to throw over the cages (note of advice - miss the fans as boy does banana get messy!!!). They're wonderful, hilarious also, I'll have to do a whole edition on them and enlighten you on the four legged tree huggers.
I must be hurry before I'm hit by an overdue power cut - sometimes caused by an orangutan intervention, but I shall leave you with my top 3 ways of waking up, jungle style;
Coming in at number three, the tongue clicking of Gazza the gecko, above your head. Apparently I was heard to gasp and bold upright, exclaiming "Was that a laptop falling on my head?!!" due to the noise not to dissimilar from the tapping on a keyboard.
Number two is given to you, Hank,.. Our morning wake up call from the rhino hornbill tapping the window with ones beak, peering through waiting for a reaction.
Taking the trophie with flying colours goes to Miko, a tall, dark, hansome…. Orangutan… arriving on our balcony and proceeding into the bedroom..! That's right kids, a whopper 'tang climbed over my bed before breakfast…. AMAZING!!!!! He was also found stealing a packet of coffee from beside the fridge and taking it to the back of the pick-up where he found himself a fruit feast to acompany the golden blend.
In summary, orangutans chuffing win!!!
I bid you goodbye and hope to keep you posted soon.
