After getting out of sleepy town we drove a good few hundred Km's to the Abel Tasman National Park. We stayed in a small town called Marahau, which literally only had 1 shop, 1 restaurant, 1 burger van, 1 kayak shop & a campsite! The Abel Tasman is all about adventure, so we decided to hire Kayaks, and see the park from the water.... After a quick briefing we were paddling out to sea..... After our sad farewell from Queenstown, we ventured towards the West Coast, on the map it looked only a few hours drive from A to B, but the roads were sooooo windey that i bet if we drove in a straight line it would have taken 1.5 hours, but because it was hairpin after hairpin it took us nearly all day!! The journey was pretty amazing through, just out of Queenstown, we saw all the Bungy sites again, then into the barron wilde...

The Journey from Te Anau to Queenstown is pretty spectacular! Its farmland for a while then back to the crazy mountain ranges. Then all of a sudden to the side of the road appears a glorious blue lake, Lake Wakatipu. The road follows the side of the lake all the way into Queenstown, the road was more spectacular than the Great Ocean road!! The tight bends were pretty scary, but the lake would have softened the fall, surely?! Anyway we approached a town, I assum...

After leaving Lake Tekapo we drove a little further to our next destination - Mount Cook. Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand...... It had heaps of snow on it! We were driving up a single road along side Lake Pukaki, this was the identical colour of Lake Tekapo (I guess this is to be expected, being the next lake along, in the same part of the world...) Our night in the Car in Sydney was uneventful & this time - actually both managed to get a good night's sleep - surprisingly!! We are definitely pro travellers now! Nothing deters us!! Our Air New Zealand flight from Sydney to Christchurch, was lovely, very comfortable and I got to watch the WHOLE first season of Cougar town.. which I have missed, since travelling.... (bar the last 8 minutes of the last episode!) Luke did the same but with 'Two and a half ...
