Day 1:- Off we went to Montreal…..but tbh most of the journey was like being on the M6 we were stuck in horrendous traffic and after being on the bus all day ya just wanna get off - we finally arrived into our hotel an hour later than expected but hey we are here and safe!!
Crazy as we arrived there was like a Prom happening and it was crazy how over the top and stuff it was, everyone all dolled up and the hotel had the red carpet out an stuff…although Id like to think that was for me haha ;-)
I lashed my bag and set off to explore as the sun was shining and I needed to walk after being stuck on the bus…map and camera in hand and off I go…Old Montreal!! I obv found the Christmas Shop first…ya know by accident and that haha, and then I had a wander by another Notre Damn Basillica and basically just had a good mooch around the old Town and explored what I could, despite only being out a few hours I seen a lot and Im glad. I found a fab place that did all healthy foods and I grabbed an avocado…as ya do
Day 2:- Absolutely lashing down…am I in England?? haha, this morning started with a city tour on the bus, but the tour guide Marco wasn't much, everyone was bored and he was just not the best guide and the tour was basically a waste of time, but hey ho some things ya love and some things ya dont, what can ya do.
I then ventured back out and luckily the rain had decided to do one and the suns as creeping out, I mooched around the streets and looked at all the amazing buildings and art work, went into the shopping centre, although really shops are shops aren't they? But I got some broccoli and salmon for my dinner so its all good.
Montreal has a lot going on, some amazing buildings and churches and lots of little hidden gems.
After a while I had pretty much explored everything I wanted to explore…so headed back to the hotel to waste some time before the farewell dinner
Farewell Dinner - we all had a lovely dinner and said our thanks and goodbyes to everyone…..its been a great trip, great group…blessed
Day 3 - THE FINAL DAY:- Started the day as I always do at the gym and then brekkie, was weird this morning as most of the group has headed off already….last few hours exploring a little more before heading for the airport :-(
Its John Baptiste Day here today (on a Sat) and lots of places are shut….its crazy, we never shut in england on a holiday, so god knows what I will be doing with myself….
Montreal, you've been great!
Salute!
