Well, Finn is here with me, eek! so could be short & sweet message! I'm sure he'll have some travel advice for you as usual shortly.
He had his 1st nosebleed this morning, whilst sitting eating toast in bed. He was most surprised by the whole event, and wondered why he had it, he was very good and put his head right back, he said it hurt a bit. He wasn't really too sure about the blood itself and when we got into the ins & outs of bodily function wondered if perhaps his heart had come out too! Bless him.
Finn enjoyed latest pictures as I did, and thought the floating markets were cool & wondered if you'd seen crocodiles or dolphins or sharks at Maya Beach. His latest (& ongoing) advice is that you should run away if you do see any of these creatures.
On the move again tomorrow, furniture going back into the house - hooray!
will write again soon, lots of love from us all. Becs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dearest jen,
Well, it's Mum & I here in chesham having been online to see photos of the tiny beautiful Amelie Ward. A week full of babies, as also had a day trip to Oxford today with Finn to meet Gilbert Hiram (may be known as Gil / Gilly / Bert as abbreviations) who was also yummy.
Fiercely affectionate brown eyed big brother Isaac, quite keen on giving Gilbert lots of (quite firm) strokes. Needed encouraging to be very gentle. He now looks very grown up in comparison. finn wondered why Gilbert was being breastfed and I told him that Gilbert doesn't have any teeth to eat say marmite sandwiches. Hmm said Finn, i've got 20 teeth. He had his 1st trip to see the dentist today and managed to open his mouth very wide for her mirror after a quick weep.
Mum and Hetty have had a few days of bonding and Mum kept a diary of all their adventures, including loo stops on the indoor green grass (sitting room carpet) and losing a tooth whilst chewing a bone.
Mum suggests at this point that we don't tell you all interesting news / get too funny, in case you don't get to read it..........so will stop here.
Hope all is well & look forward to your next news.........lots and lots of love from us all, Becs, Mum & everyone else.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sally And Mothy One Again
Hopefully we'll actually post something this time! uhm....moth is having an away day at 3 eaton crescent, to check that i am still in one piece. I had a fight with a wall, and the wall won, leaving me slightly battered and bruised but all in one piece. After long distances ma drove in aussie, she didn't think 2 hours to brizzol would take very long.it took 2 looooongggg hours.
Just had a peruse at all your stunning photos, all of them are superb. Especially liked all ur sunrises and sunsets at various destinations...quite picturesque indeed.
Hope all is well with u, and the weather in adelaide is holding out.
love us xxx

Great latest photos, all gorgeous. My favourite was Lago verde, Kris's saucy photo very funny.
We've had a w/end of parties ..........harry (NCT) 3rd b-day party @ gus Gorilla's in Poole Park yesterday morning, soft play area & early lunch there, fun had by all.
Onto Weymouth to collect new car!! We've bought a very grown up & practical Renault laguna Estate car, with some fun bits like it's got a card-key (like thick credit card) & a stop / start button for ignition! Lots & lots of room in boot!
Ray's 60th, nice bisto meal out for that. abbi's David & I both driving, kris thought he was a comedian by the end of the night, so i was lucky to have a sensible person next to me to talk to.
TODAY's main event was Presley's 3rd birthday party this afternoon, Finn found it quite difficult waiting until after lunch!! Also good fun, but Finn bit off colour, has got ulcer - like sore spots inside both cheeks, feeling bit under weather quite quiet & not eating much...! Hope not leading to a'thing else, another early night tonight, been asleep by 6.15 past 4 nights!
Not much more to tell I don't think. Will write again soon, take care & have a good flight onto NZ. Lots of love from us all,Becs. xxxxxxxx

hello Dearest,
Just thought i should join family message posting session, not sure what news so will try to think of some whilst i type........lovely latest messages & photos, all stunning.
we've had the luxury of Sal here this w/end, following interview in Bristol Fri morning, after which sal was v tired, but did stirling work having driven here & babysat whilst we went off for meal in Wimborne last night as Ceri & Emma up from Somerset. Lovely meal, lots of wine consumed, boys decided that we should have a divided table, their end decidedly rowdier than ours, needless to say?
chilling day today, lovely cold sunny walk up to St Catherine's Hill this afternoon, Finn takes his Scoop (digger from Bob the Builder) bike up till it gets really hilly, we then park scoop in or near a tree, continue by foot, walk around the top & there's a huge pile of logs in which Finn has lots of adventures - it's a car, tractor, all sorts......
Tesco fireworks BOGOF £9.99 pack went down really well after Finn's bath earlier, he clapped after each one, very enthusiastically. Totally successful & satisfying all round!
having quite a successful open fire in the sitting room tonight which is yummy, the weather has been absolutely stunning for past week - bright blue skies, warm sunshine & chilly out of the sun, with early morning frosts on the cars & rooves.
We went to visit Abbi & David in bristol last w/end, lovely time, great to see them there, only hitch Finn now so grown up, not at all keen on travel cot, so it was 3 in a bed, all glad to get home to our own beds!
look forward to next installment, lovely to be online at home at last, have fun on your last bits of s/america, lots of love from us all,Becs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Latest:Paynes'offer on a house has been accepted.Features are a leaky flat roof, damp & sloping sitting room floor. It has one more room than their present house but bigger garden. They had a punishing house viewing schedule last sat. so we went & looked after I. whilst they rushed from house to house. S.O.S call mid afternoon..could J. take them their spare car keys as their set had dropped down the drain. He took the spares AND spent a very smelly half hour guddling about in the drain and rescued the lost keys. What a good man. Our U.S. trip was great-big family plot as J also came & I didnt know till 12 hrs before we left Stayed with McKendricks in D.C, PaMa Newt also there & E is looking great & v. happily preg. They are good hosts. We did a rough figure 8 around NY-J driving the lower bubble & AIH took over the driving when we met up.Tara the nooLYL M

Loved the photos, enjoyed the postcards and nosed my way through your message board as its not a bad way for me to catch up on general family news actually. Good luck for the next leg of the trip. Funny to think Mike sets off in the not too distant future and will ultimately meet up with you! All well here. Ike is chatting away in total gibberish and developing strong opinions. He has a tantrum whenever the word 'no' is used which is actually fairly entertaining. The house is under offer so we are in a mad dash to find somewhere to go. Who knows what will happen. Its a cut-throat business. My tummy is sticking out a lot so I plucked up courage to tell the boss about my six months off next year!..although only the courage to e-mail which I thought was at least braver than a text. I am on-call for the first time since Ike was born this w/e and Tom is dreading the 48 hours responsibility - indeed I believe he is running off to Birmingham with our wee man to call on Knowle Granny's services! ANd that's all for now. Look after yourself my friend. love from Mirand

Hi Jen,
Just had a quick look at the photos from the Inca trail. They look great. It is Katie´s and mine last day in Peru & South America. Back at work next week. We are not the happiest people at the moment. However I have managed to recover from the near fatal ankle injury & even fitted in a bit of sand boarding.
Thanks for being a great Inca buddy!
Good luck with the next section of travels, keep in touch & keep safe
Love Lou

Hey Jen,
Nice photos - love the shots of the glacier. Who was the photographer?
No new arrivals on the baby front - now 7 days overdue. The Midwife says everything is in order but if the little b***** doesn't want to come out then he/she won't. Sam is booked in to be induced on Monday 16th, which means we'll have to be referred to the Consultant unit rather than Midwife led, which was our original preference.
Spoke to Hoppo at the weekend - he seems to be having a great time in Holland, working and playing hard.
Take care and speak soon.

TYVM for your gorgeous e-mails. Miranda+isaac had a lovely day chez HG & approves of the house++.We had a vsplendid eve. chez apple +Kirky, S.llooking v. tired but I gather she has handed in her noticeDoesnt sound as tho it is properly organised. Our Rector spent his summer hols in Chile. Highly recommended is Travels in a Thin Country by Sarah Wheeler, mebbe you already know of it. He+wife went from desert to San Pedro-good museum started by Belgian Jesuit BUT to their suroprise , tourists ++.Autumn in full swing here & they have probs in the New Forest as the 200 pigs that are drafted in each year to eat the acorns are insufficient for this years crop and they need 300 more piggies-acorns are bad news for the resident ponies. Am off this morning to help a friend with her meals on wheels round. The head organiser gave me a form needing 2 referees. I mislaid the form so she gave me another last week . So embarassing as I seem to have mislaid this one too.Nina suggests I say that the replacement form was eaten by Tizzy.luvM.
