We picked our new home up on Sunday and what a beautiful beast, we think we can be very happy for two months. It is a Winnebago - no expanding sides - but everything we need. It's Ray job to empty the chemical toilet so have bought plenty of rubber gloves. However, the camping here is so good we don't really need to use the van. We have our own ensuite site for 20 pounds a night so not too bad.
We stayed just south of Fremantle the first night so we could unpack and do the washing. By now our underwear was sticking to the wall so we felt the need! We got finished just in time to see the sun going down over Coogee Beach. Then it was back to the van for a lovely ham and mushroom omelette, cooked by Jen of course, a welcome meal after all the different foods we have sampled.
We are travelling south towards Albany but will loop back up to Perth as there are things we want to see there. This south east corner of Oz is mainly farming: wheat, dairy produce (lots of cheeses) and wine. Oh dear the diet is out the window, on go the pounds we lost with the Delhi belly.
The beaches are superb probably better than the east and we have decided to stay in Busselton for 2 nights so that Ray can get some fishing in and Jen can read her book on the beach. It is a lovely site, quite busy though as the kids are on school holidays. Even better is the fact they have internet which not all the sites do and it's cheap to use. Only problem is there is no facility to upload photos so that will follow once again.
Hope you are all as chilled out as we are.
Jen and Ray
