Hey B/Jen - Finally had a chance to check out this blog and I see that a lot has happened already - including an elephant ride. Waiting on a picture of that for sure! Take care and enjoy every minute!

We are finding it hot and humid but we have been attempting to stay more in doors or sheltered in the main heat of the day. The heat has been nice, the only thing we dont like is that its hard to keep our clothes out of the moisture.
Ben did not cook directly with the guide but he did go to check it out. We both went to cooking school tonight... it turned out really good. Spicy! You may become my victims when were home. For the most part I like all of the food. We are finding everything tastier and easier to find than in Bangkok. Ben continues to make things more spicy so I can only take small bites of his meals to try before I'm burning up. Most people here speak some English, particularly anyone of the younger generations.
We will be spending two more days in Chiang Mai before heading South to the islands.

I hope you got some good shots of your elephant ride for Kathy. She is going to be very envious. Sounds like you're having a great time--take care and get back to us soon.

Excellent! Glad all is well and it sounds very adventurous. How is the communication going?
