I was roasting coffee beans. They were showing us the process for the Arabica, robusta, and Lewak coffee. Most families make and grow there own coffee in the back yard, then separate and roast the beans for about an hour till they turn brown... then they crush them into a powder (no electric grinders here). Sounds like you and my mom enjoyed celebrations, sounds fun!
