8:00 wake up was nice had my bag all ready from the night before so I took my time getting ready, then we wandered down to breakfast which was cooked so that was awesome, I was sick of cereal and toast. We had fresh cooked bacon and sausage and eggs. Some people had too much to drink last night, so we had some throwing up on the bus but only in barf bags thank god. We headed back toward Alice springs. We took our group photo for the north, we had to do this massive dog pile in the dirt in from of the Alice springs sign, it was cute. I bought a copy. Then we spent the day laying around the pool, and then we got ready to go out to the blow out meal at the steak house, then the bar with our guide and driver to celebrate and say farewell since this is our last night here. The steak house was cool, very western with giant cow and camel and croc skins on the wall. We ate Camel, Emu, Croc, and kangaroo. My fav was definitely the camel, it was like a really good steak, and it had amazing flavor. The emu was aweful and super pink and gamey tasting. It was the texture of venison but the taste of dark meat turkey. The kangaroo had a musky sasage taste with a prok feeling. And the croc was chewy like halibut but it was cooked up in a sauce, so you could teel it is a food that has to take on the flavors of the stuff around it. Then we did this crazy Auzzie dance on our chairs, and used these loud wobble boards and had to sing, and then they brought out a camel brand and said they would do brands on denim and leather. So I got my pocket on my skirt branded. It was really fun. The bar was lame, so we all came back and hung out around the pool and played cards. Good day.
