My day!Well I'm back in PA today with the new compliance specialist Anna.I'm taking her around to all the properties and introducing her to all the staff.Today we went out to Heritage Pointe.Heritage Pointe is 3 hours away from our hotel. The drive down there was pretty uneventful, but I had to make it a point to introduce Anna to the manager Pam.Pam is a total sweet heart and she runs a senior community.Even though her property is in VERY good shape compared to some of the others I didn't want her to feel left out by not being introduced to her new CS.
We were able to get a couple of cool snapshots as well! The mountains are GEORGEOUS and they are so pretty when the fog is rolling off the top of them.
Now for the drive home.We left the property at 3:30 so we would be able to beat rush hour traffic and also because we had done everything we needed to do there. So, we have a Garmin (which I insist upon every time I get a rental car due to my horrible navigating skills), well this garmin is like an old man who's lost his mind.First he wants to turn right, then left, then left again, then go one mile, and turn left.I was getting so frustrated I literally wanted to throw the thing out of the window and run over it…then get out of the car and beat it with a bat.Literally, that mad.
So Anna finally decides that she doesn't want me to run us off a cliff and takes matters into her own hands. She gets on her IPhone and gets the correct directions, then tells me to pull over so she can drive.Turns out we were going in the COMPLETELY WRONG direction.
So, we stop and get something to eat at Chili's and Anna and I have a lovely dinner conversation. Then we get back on the road, where there is a MAJOR accident with car parts littered all over the 3 lanes of the highway. There is a fire truck with a guy waving a flashlight to show another cop where to come up to.So the cop has on his lights and stuff, so I do the LOGICAL thing and stop my car to get by.Yes, this does stop traffic for about two seconds but personally I think a human life is worth it.This stupid m-er f-er behind me HONKS!I was so close to putting my car in park and going back there, but I didn't.If you know me or have ever ridden with me, I don't get road rage.I don't let little stuff bother me and if you feel like you must cut me off then that's up to you.I don't know you're situation, maybe you're wife is having a baby and you're rushing to the ER, I just don't know! But when you have the audacity to HONK at me FOR PULLING OVER FOR A COP WHEN THERE HAS CLEARLY BEEN A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT IN THE ROAD THEN YOU MUST BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE NOT KNOWN THAT PAIN IN YOUR LIFE, AND IF YOU EVER DO, AND A COP NEEDS TO GET BY TO HELP SAVE YOUR LIFE, I HOPE YOU HEAR A FRICKEN HORN HONK.Then you'll know that somebody cared enough to stop traffic for you, even though they didn't know you.
And I'm done.Gonna have to take a xanex to go to bed after this blog.
