Jen's Adventures
We're now in Vietnam.
After the last entry, we went out for more drinks with the group, then me and Tail went to a club recommended by Mr Tuk tuk. It was very fun and the french bakery the next morning helped alot! We sat and watched the rain from the patio of the restaurant with a couple from our group, Tonya and Shannon.
The rain soon cleared up and Tail and I took a walk round town the next day, the heat was unbelievable! I then went for an oil massage. It was only a little girl but it was so relaxing- although hurt at times.. but that's happened at all massages we've had so far- not complaining..the rest is brilliant!
The next day we got up early and made our way to a small local village. We stayed with a host family, and sat and ate a traditional Lao meal all on the floor. It was very cultural! The children we met were incredible. Jen and I gave two of them a bracelet each, they were so grateful! I gave mine to a girl who had drawn me a picture on some paper I'd given her, she couldn't stop smiling. Such an eye opener at how much they appreciate things!
After the lovely meal, we went into town over a beautiful long bridge and took part in a buddhist lunar ceremony with the children of the village. We all had inscence and candles and walked around the temple. The kids were having so much fun!
Woke at 5:00 the next morning by the cokerals screaming and the pouring rain on the tin roof, we mde our way to Vietnam on a very long bus ride.
At about 6:00 we arrived at Ninh Binh and just had drinks on the roof top bar after our meal.. We were shattered from the massive journey!
