Today we milled about around the sea front of Vientiane this morning, Walked around that area checked out the King Srisavangvong statue and the outside gym areas along the park, Then tried finding the so called water park that we wanted to check out, Walked for some time looking for it little did we know awe asked a driver where it was and said it's not there anymore.... And now we're pretty sweaty so headed for the nearby shopping mall as it's nice and cool in there.
Cooled off and walked to the hotel passing the water fountain where they were setting up a stage so we'd be checking that out later as we've done everything else there is to do here.
Got back around 13:45 to make sure we got our passports back, Sat watching shallow Hal and the guy drops by saying where we'd gone, A Said to the guy you said you'd drop them of around 2-2:30, He'd been in twice before the time he'd said to us.
Got that out the way chatted to some people in the hotel as we watched Madagascar 3 about visas/ where they'd been traveling. After that a crashed out in the room and had a nap.
Woke up Phil nowhere to be seen so went out to go check out the stage area they'd been setting up, Got there was a small band playing English songs then speaking Lao was funny to watch.
Started to head back to checkout another bar near our hotel when I saw Phil sat at the bar we went to last time, So pulled up a seat and Bought a few litres of beer, Then Phil nipped back to the hotel to grab some cash as I ordered some Lao beef dish with spicy drip, Was so good! Then grabbed one more Jug before checking out the stage again.
Watched from outside for a while then a few pictures on the side, More beer was ordered then went to go into the stage area got stopped saying it was a privet party... And said we could enjoy it from there or in the roof, Drank our beer up on the roof the looked how poor there security was, Went down and slipped into the party.
Got given a free beer by some random Asian guy happy days, Then bought ourselves a cocktail as we'd filled up on beer, steaming by this point but looked at the time was about ten-12, hotel locks at 12. So we then talked about how we'd get back in and we both said if we can't use the front door we'd use the fire escape as the doors always open on the 1st floor, So stayed around for a while longer.
As we walked back we both kind of wanted to try the fire escape idea but we should try the front door first, Was open.... Disappointing but got back fine.
