It was time for another historical trip, to the small town of Westford, MA. It was really a geek outing for a Knight Templar fanatic such as yours truly. There is a theory about the Sinclairs from Scotland, famous templars, making their way to the United States before Columbus did and there are some artefacts supporting this theory. One of these is the Westford Knight, a carving on stone of a templar knight, found in Westford, MA. The carving was covered for winter protection, but I managed to get a photo of the adjacent stone with templar inscriptions, as well as read a lot about the fundings in the local libray. It was very cozy in a scholarly kind of way :) After that we headed to Boston for a sumptuous dinner with Elizabeth, her son Vincent and boyfriend Andy. I finally got to taste the famous clam chowder, a typical New England soup made with clams, potatoes and a lot of cream! It was delicious!! Then I had assorted steamed fish as well as seafood risotto: a fish feast :)
For dessert, we went to a special place called Max Brenner. There was a half an hour waiting time, but it was SO worth it! I don´t think I ever had such a decadent dessert feast in my life...afterwards I had sugary vapors emanating from all my pores! I practically ordered everything on the gluten free menu: dark chocolate fondue, bowl of fruit, raspberry/peanut butter dip and marshmallows, all washed down with a mint lemonade. I tell ya....it was so heavenly it should be illegal! hahaha Updated photo section for photographic proof of aforementioned chocolate feast.
Coming back I had to use the restrooms and I am telling you...if you´re ever around Dorchester and you need to go, the hotels lounges are your only bet. Trust me...
