" Full moon madness and relaxation at Thong Nai Pan Noi"
Our last days in Thailand have been spent well. We have settled into our beach front bungalow and have enjoyed being in the same place for more than four days!!!. Sam used her persuasive skills early on and managaed to move us from a VERY basic bungalow (next to a construction siteit being low season!!) to a beachfront , hot water and air con all for the same price... little minx. So with the little extra luxeries we made the most of our idyllic paradise. The beach is a cove, with wide sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Our tans are deepening and minds content. The food remains superb and local thais are friendlier here than neighbouring Samui.
Saturday was Full Moon Party Night!! The whole island buzzing with the vibe and celebration. We ate dinner on the beach under the stars and shimmering moon light before catching our taxi to Haad Rin-Home of the party. The road through central Phangan is actually through a untouched rain forest and very steep unconditioned roads and half way there we got a puncture! A short walk in the forest and we boarded a local Thai taxi filled with the locals off to the beach. To there amusement they found us English girls hilarious and we all laughed the whole way!!.Once there we soaked up the amazing lights , atmosphere alondside with the alcohol... of course!!. Thai wiskey is lethal , 80% proof and doesnt even taste of anything once mixed wih Red Bull , so two buckets later.....
10,000 people on the beach , fire dancers , range of music , lanterns floating off in the night sky all under the heaviest of full moons!!AWESOME!!. We bumped into our friends from KOH TOA and two people from the heathrow flight over , Electro styling gay Ross and Leah from London who could even give Suzie a run for her money -ha ha, it made the night special and the group danced the night away. We left in the early hours takjing a speedboat home -very glam!.
Nursing head aches the next day wasnt even that bad. So basically weve been living the beach life , visisted waterfalls , gone kayaking and trekking... its been fun. Were now making our way to Phuket airport to fly to Singapore for two days before heading to Oz. We decided to fly as weve heard lots of stories of people being gased and there stuff stolen in south so thought it was for the best....
So farewell beautiful Thailand. From Crazy Bangkok to the cultural Chaing Mai down to the blissful islads our time here have been memorable. Our hearts still smile when we thing of Koh Toa and we will miss the beautiful children and Sam has adopted many beach dogs as you will see from the pics!! The amazing food , azure waters and laid back life .
One thing for sure is we wont be missing is the Ghekkos, lizards, spiders , cats , flying beetles, frogs, moths , mosquitos ect etc which have all kindly made there way into our homes!! Sam has screamed many of times and doesnt believe in getting that close in touch with the little pests!! Last night we heard rumbling in our room as we did the past nights and we eventually found the intruder....... a large ghekko in our bin ive never seen Sam chuck something so fast out of our room it was hilarious!!!
Hope you are all well its great to here from you all catch up with you next in Australia.....
NEXT STOP SINGAPORE somebody get me a cocktail!! make it two singapore slings!!
